Bonnet Island is home to a thriving colony of little penguins and short-tailed shearwaters. These amazing birds spend their days fishing at sea in all conditions, returning each evening at dusk, to their burrows on the island. Pieman River Cruises (Arcadia II) operates within the Tarkine on the majestic Pieman River in Tasmania's west. Cruises on this magnificent river run daily. World Heritage Cruise

World Heritage Cruises is located in Strahan. They take you by catamaran into the world's last great temperate rainforest, deep into the World Heritage Area. On board the 35 metre catamaran 'Eagle', passengers enjoy the natural and historic features of Macquarie Harbour, including Hells Gates, an array of aquaculture farms, a Sarah Island penal settlement guided tour and two hours of cruising the Gordon River where you disembark to explore the rainforest and see a Huon pine tree that was a mere seedling 2,000 years ago. Morning Heritage Cruise departs 0900 and returns 1500 daily.
